Chad Olson, Staff Consultant

Chad is an Oracle DBA certified in Oracle8i and upgraded his skill set by successfully completing the requirements for Oralce9i Certified Professional Database Administrator. He also has an MCP for Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. Chad also has experience in Installation, Database Design and Administration of MS SQL 2000. Dave Vaden, Staff Consultant

Mr. Vaden is an experienced Oracle DBA, is OCP-Certifed in Oracle8 and and Oracle8i, and holds masters degrees in Information Technology and Geology. As a staff DBA with Strategic IT, he is an enthusiastic member of the Database Backup and Recovery team. He also enjoys scripting with Perl and ksh, and advocates the role of Linux in enterprise information systems. He has training with client-side application development using Oracle Forms and Reports, Java and C++. Prior to joining Strategic IT, Mr. Vaden worked as a lead campus DBA for Regis University where he and his team managed more than 30 Oracle instances on Windows NT/2000. During that time, he also prepared a lab manual for graduate students emphasizing Oracle SQL, DML, DDL and Data Modeling. He has also worked as a Perl programmer and Oracle Consultant with the United States Geological Survey, and as a Quality Assurance Consultant with Landmark Graphics, Inc., where he tested sophisticated geological modeling applications. Mr. Vaden also has a strong background in project management, customer service, physical science and engineering from more than 15 years work as an environmental consultant in the Denver area.

Alex Kim, Staff Consultant

Alex is Oracle 8i and 9i Certified Professional DBA with experience in database administration, systems analysis, and quality assurance. Alex has experience working in demanding production and development environments. He is also skilled in many facets of database administration, including performance tuning, database design, installation, backup and recovery, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
